FAQ

1

It's my first time getting Botox. How many units will I need?

The number of units of Botox that each client receives depends on their specific facial anatomy: the depth of the wrinkles, how much muscle movement is present, and how strong the facial. muscle is, amongst other variables. The desired results will also be discussed; some clients prefer to be "frozen", while others like to maintain a more natual look.

2

I heard that if I start doing Botox and I don't keep up with it, my wrinkles will come back worse than before I started. Is this true?

This is probably one of the biggest misconceptions! Botox temporarily decreases certain facial expressions, which results in wrinkle reduction. Once the Botox wears off, your wrinkles will slowly return, but never *worse* than when you first started. Even if you can manage to get Botox every 6 months, you'll still successfully delay signs of wrinkles and aging while the Botox is effective.

3

How often will I need my Botox touched up?

Most people will get their Botox touched up every 3-4 months. Some metabolize their Botox quicker (ie., athletes) while others find their results last longer.

4

How long do fillers usually last?

Juvederm Ultra and Revanesse Versa last about 6 months (often longer; many of my patients find that their filler lasts about 1 year), and Voluma, a much thicker filler that goes in the cheeks, chin, and jawline, lasts up to two years.

However, in my clinical practice, I often find that touchup treatments last far longer than the first syringe!

5

Can you make sure my fillers come out natural? I don't want to look like one of those people who went overboard and look fake/plastic!

Absolutely! The best filler results are subtle and natural. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so it's important to make sure you and your aesthetic provider share the same ideals of youthfulness and beauty. Be very picky with who you trust to treat your face!

Your friends and family should see a difference in your youthfulness, but will not be able to pinpoint what exactly changed. You'll find that they'll ask, "Something's different about you... did you change your hair? Have you lost weight? What is it?! Why do you look so good?" How you respond is up to you ;)

6

How many syringes does it take to enhance a jawline?

It takes about 3-5 syringes of Voluma to enhance a jawline. Keep in mind that each syringe (1cc) is about 1/5 of a teaspoon of product. You can imagine, that's a pretty minimal volume to enhance such a large treatment area!

The jawline is an investment, but is a worthwhile one (Voluma lasts about 2 years). A jawline treatment can range anywhere from $1995- $4000. I recommend that you book your jawline appointment only when you are able to purchase the recommended number of syringes to achieve the best result.

7

How long do undereye fillers usually last?

Undereye fillers last about 9-12 months (often longer). The rate at which a person metabolizes filler usually depends on age, sex, and activity level!

8

How often should I be getting an IV?

For general health and wellness, an IV therapy treatment every 2-4 weeks is sufficient. Check out our IV packages for discounts!

9

What's the difference between taking vitamins by mouth versus an IV or intramuscular injection?

Anything you ingest orally (food, water, medications, vitamins) is first metabolized by your liver, called the "first pass effect". This results in much of what you take in being excreted from your body before you're even able to absorb the nutrients! IM and IV administration of vitamins, amino acids, fluids, and other supplements are absorbed immediately into the bloodstream and delivered directly to the tissues in need.

10

Do you treat COVID-19 patients with IV therapy?

No, we do not offer treatments for COVID-19 patients. It is recommended that you work with your primary care doctor or other medical provider for the evaluation and treatment of your COVID-19 symptoms.

Once you have recovered from COVID-19, we are more than happy to provide IV hydration therapy for your general health and wellness goals!
